my favorite english expression are:

"it is what it is" (change isn't possible/ fighting for change is futile)

"well i'll be(obceneties)" (can't believe it)

"beating a dead horse" (can't gain anything more from doing an action again)

spanish i think has more colorful sayings some funny ones are

"como nalga de bebe" lit. "like a baby's ass (sensitive)

"la ultima coca en el refrigerador" lit. the last soda in the fridge (unique/egotistical)

there's an entire show in mexico dedicated to them

Interesting! "Beating a dead horse" is exactly what this country is about...oops, I made another negative comment. You are from Mexico! It’s nice to meet you.

@Precipitation24 interesting fact, doing the exact same thing over and over expecting a different result is the definition of insanity.

nice to meet you too, I used to be pretty good at spanish but since i now live in the USA, my spanish skill have also been deteriorating too

Wow, you have a wonderful life in the US. I would like to live in the US, too! But I worry that your Spanish language skills are declining.

@Precipitation24 I still visit mexico and i get a change of practicing my spanish, i also try to read spanish literature as much as a can

i do think that constant exposure to it, is very helpful to not loose a language skill

That is good to hear! I tend to think of things in terms of the effort it takes for "me" to get to the US, but for Mexico, the US is a neighbor country...

@Precipitation24 yes, its because of this close proximity that both countries share words like in the US, they borrowed the word "taco" and it mexico they borrow the word "mouse" as in computer mouse.

I once visited japan for about a week and i really enjoyed my trip there, i will visit it next year, I'm excited for that

I like tacos! I would love to go on a trip to Mexico (before that I have to start by making my passport…).

@Precipitation24 if you do ever get the chance to visit mexico, i recommend trying out "tacos de pastor" lit. "Sheppard's tacos" its marinated pork, sliced really thin with some lime and salt, they are delicious

mexico is also a great hub for cultures, mexico city being home to the Aztecs before the Spanish occupation. the Aztec culture is really interesting to me, my profile picture is of an anime character called "Lucoa" which is short for "Quetzalcoatl" which is an Aztec deity which really caught my attention

"Tacos de pastor", I will keep that in mind. Also, someday I would like to watch the anime and draw "Lucoa" art. I also think that Mexico is a hub of cultures. This is a modern story, but long time ago, I was impressed by the furry works drawn by a Mexican artist and I learned a lot from him or her.

@Precipitation24 i really recommend that anime, its very cute

i could ramble about my knowledge of mexican culture for a long time, i do that sometimes in the forums here in newgrounds.

I was talking to a mexican artist a while back and he told me how he used to draw a lot of furry stuff just because of how much demand there was for it lol

Maybe he's the same artist you have in mind!
