Remember when I called myself a 'big idiot'? It's because I've been slowly learning Japanese and each discovery, each milestone just reveals bigger things and I realize that even if I can follow general conversations somewhat, there's so much I don't know.

Yes, it's possible. Take this passage as an example:
"These ruins hold the unique motifs and the signature stonework of the Dagen Civilization." the archaeologist mused, looking closely at the stonework. "But what is this place doing so far north?"
